A new construction fad or reality?

Cities change, They are evolving as its inhabitants, its streets, neighborhoods, Public Buildings, developments and homes are a reflection of those living on them. Architecture seeks to make fuller lives of people by providing them a place they can feel itself, designed for practical life but also seeks new ways, always innovating to satisfy their customers. Ludwig Mies van der Rohe began assigned to design and neoclassical architecture work until he met Hendrik Petrus Berlage Dutch, thereafter the German saw clearly the need for new forms that capture the spirit of the modern cities of the twentieth century. "Less is more" affirm, thus becoming one of the most influential authors, precursor and promoter of modern architecture.

Villa Tugendhat, the Brno, Czech Republic. One of the earliest examples of this style.

The minimalism of Mies van der Rohe Ludwig brought the use of modern materials such as industrial steel, glass and reinforced concrete surfaces and finding ample spaces that flow unhindered through very clear simple lines that transmit sensation dynamism, Balance, order and unity. He reigns in monochromy (which it is not incompatible with the bold use of bright colors but predominantly white tones), you try to maximize natural light and simplicity and functionality are priorities. The facades take on a huge role being quite common that integrate harmoniously into the landscape.

In cities it is allied with the new urbanism, Fleeing decontrol, the narrowness and the burdens of the past. Minimalist architecture not only increases the performance and functionality of space for habitation, public or business use also projects to the streets with the geometry of its facades that feeling of spaciousness, order and harmony that characterizes, besides modernity and youth it is so common in areas of urban growth and new construction but neither is strange that recourse to this style to revitalize downtown areas and rehabilitate fallen into disrepair and disuse. Of course it is ideal for individual houses, in which it may be its greatest exponent this architectural movement.
